Below you will find the latest information on the February Bar Exam, along with links to the results, coverage, and some additional commentary. Below is a tool, where you can switch between states, and see how they have changed over time. Also, you can check out each one of the states below, along with a status on recent releases.
Alabama — Released
Alabama saw 312 individuals take the exam with 129 passing, resulting in a overall pass rate of 41.3%. Of those, 124 were first timers (76 passed for a 61.3% pass rate). Overall, this is about what Alabama saw last year with the February exam in 2016 having a 42% pass rate.

Alaska — Not Released Yet
According to the Board of Governors
Announcement of Exam Results - Results of the examination are generally announced by the Board of Governors approximately 90 days after the examination. All applicants are notified of the results by e-mail the day the results are released, and by U.S. mail. After that, the list of passing applicants will be posted on the website.
Estimated release date is 5/20/17 - 5/29/17
Arizona — Not Released
According to the state bar’s website, results will be made available here, on May 12th.
Arkansas
The Arkansas bar exam results were released April 3rd, and are available through the state bar’s announcement page (here). Note, only the names of the individuals who passed were released onto the website. The number of people who passed this year were 60, which is 9 less than the previous year, and definitely lower than 2011, when 96 people passed the exam.
California
California has not yet released their results, and per their website will be releasing May 12.
Colorado
Colorado has not yet released their results, according to their website, the soonest the results will be posted is May 4, 2017.
Connecticut
Connecticut has not yet released their results, according to their website, the soonest the results will be posted is May 5, 2017.
Delaware –
Delaware only offers the July bar exam.
Florida — Released
Florida released the results of the February Bar exam on April 10th, 1881 individuals took the exam, with 551 passing resulting in a 27% pass rate. Note, because historically the Florida Bar has not released the overall statistics, historical passing information is taken from First time takers and passing. In this case 751 individuals took the exam, with 433 passing, for a 57.7% pass rate amongst first timers (slightly lower than last-year). University of Miami had the highest first-time pass rate at 80%, with Florida Coastal having the lowest at 25%. For full coverage, Abovethelaw.com had a great write up. Note, this year Florida saw 79 less first timers (roughly 10%) take the exam.
Georgia — Not Released

Results will likely be posted on their website in late May.
Idaho
Idaho saw 72 people take the February bar exam, and 50 people pass for a 69% pass rate. While the overall statistics for this session are slightly lower than the last period, Idaho is still ahead of recent years.
Illinois
Illinois released the results of the February Bar Exam, and alerted individual applicants. However, Illinois does not make the pass list, or statistics publicly available on their website.
Indiana — Released
Indiana saw a 48% pass rate, which is the lowest in recent memory, but only 3% off last year’s historic low. Additionally, 263 people took the exam, and 126 passed. For additional information, check out one of the direct links below:

Iowa
Iowa released the results of the February bar exam on March 1oth, here. Overall, as the second year of utilizing the UBE, the state saw an 8% increase from last year’s 61% pass rate to 69%. In addition the number of people taking and passing the exam also increased to 75 taking, and 52 passing. The statistics are available here.
Kansas
Kansas released the results of the February Bar Exam, and e-mailed the individuals. While no official statistics are released, Kansas does provide the pass/fail list available here. Overall 56 people took the exam, with 37 passing resulting in a 66% pass rate, 10 points up from last year!
Kentucky
Kentucky released the list of passing individuals for the state, but at this time has not yet released the statistics. Once released, statistics will be made available here. The state saw 119 individuals pass this time around.
Louisiana
Louisiana released the results of the February Bar Exam on April 27th, and uploaded them to the Court’s website. Overall, Louisana saw 256 individuals take the exam this year, with 155 passing, for a overall pass rate of 60.55%. Note, this is a significant drop of individuals taking the exam from last year, when 328 people took the exam.
Maine
Main released the results of their bar examination, but as in previous years, has not made the results of the bar exam available on their website. Overall, 20 people passed the exam. You can see the passing ID’s available here.
Maryland — Not Yet Released
Maryland has not yet released the results of their bar exam. Per DeceptivelyBlond it is expected the results will be released May 5th.
Massachusetts — Released
A total of 594 applicants sat for the February 2017 bar examination, 284 (47.8%) passed. There were 232 first time takers, of whom 142 (61.2%) passed the exam.

Michigan — Released
Michigan released the results of the February 2017 Bar exams, in total 154 individuals passed. See results by seat number here.

Minnesota — Released (on Accounts)
Minnesota released the total number of applicants that took the bar examination in February 2017 of 222, along with the pass rate of 52.25% and a first time examinee pass rate of 69.70%
Mississippi
Mississippi released the results of their bar examination, but as in previous years, has not made the results of the bar exam available on their website. Overall, 20 people passed the exam. You can see the passing ID’s available here.
Missouri
A total of 277 applicants sat for the February 2017 bar examination, 182 (65.7%) passed.
Montana
Montana released the results of their bar examination, stating a total of 39 applicants took the bar exam in February 2017. Here is the swearing in list.
Nebraska
Nebraska released the results of their bar examination, the actual statistics were not released. In total, 27 names appeared on the list for admission to the bar. Here are the names of the applicants who passed.
Nevada — May 17, 2017
The State Bar of Nevada states “The unofficial results of the February 2017 Nevada Bar Examination will be released on our website on May 17, 2017 at 3 p.m. Official results will be mailed the following day. The Admissions Ceremony will be held on May 26, 2017 in Carson City.
Update: The results were released on May 17, and the names of the passers were made available. In total 157 names appeared on the passing list, with there being a 47% pass rate. As such, an estimated 320 people sat for the Nevada bar exam.
New Hampshire — Released
New Hampshire released the results of their bar examination, the actual statistics were not released however, here are the names of the applicants who passed.

New Jersey — Released
New Jersey released the results of the February 2017 bar examinations. Of the 436 applicants that sat for the exam, results were sent to 430. Of the 430, 174 or 40.46% passed.

New Mexico — Released
New Mexico released the results of the February 2017 bar examinations. The overall pass rate was 67% with an 80% pass rate for first time takers.
New York — Released
Of the 4,162 candidates examined on the February examination, 1,822 passed for an overall pass rate of 44%, which is an increase of 4% from the February 2016 examination.
North Carolina — Released
North Carolina released the results of the February 2017 bar examinations. See the results here.
North Dakota — Released
16 of the 41 applicants who sat for the exam passed, which is a 39% pass rate.
The pass rate for people taking the North Dakota exam for the first time was 56%; and the pass rate for the 10 applicants who graduated from the UND School of Law and took the North Dakota exam for the first time was 60%.
Ohio — April 28, 2017
The Ohio Supreme Court released the results of the February 2017 Ohio Bar Examination. Out of 436 applicants who sat for the exam, 224 (51.4%) received passing scores; of 173 first-time applicants, 66% received passing scores. View a complete list of names of the successful applicants.
Oklahoma — Released
Oklahoma released the results of the February 2017 bar examinations. Of the 142 applicants that sat for the exam, 115 passed with a 81% pass rate.
Oregon — Released
Oregon released the results of the February 2017 bar examinations. Of the 208 applicants that sat for the exam, 140 passed with a 67% pass rate.
Pennsylvania — Released
The Pennsylvania Board announced the results of the February 2017 bar examinations and of the 565 that took the exam 306 passed with an overall pass rate of 54%.
Rhode Island — May 19, 2017
The February 2017 Rhode Island Bar Examination results will be released on Friday, May 19, 2017
South Carolina — April 28, 2017
Results for the South Carolina February bar exam were released in April. Overall, 272 individuals took the exam with 165 passing, for a total overall pass rate of 60.66%. Of note, is that Charleston School of Law, as well as University of South Carolina received a sub 50% passing rate (42.25% and 47.92% respectively) which lowered the state’s overall pass rate.

South Dakota — Released
South Dakota unfortunately does not make the results available online. However, individual applicants are notified of their respective results.

Tennessee — Released
Tennessee released the results of the February 2017 bar examinations. Of the 378 applicants that sat for the exam, 177 passed with a 46.83% pass rate.
Texas — May 1, 2017
Texas released the results of the February 2017 bar examinations. Of the 1253 applicants that sat for the exam, 606 passed with a 48.36% pass rate.
Utah — Released
Utah does not make the results of the bar exam available online, and has not done so for several years.

Vermont — Released
New Hampshire released the results of their bar examination, the actual statistics were not released however, here are the names of the applicants who passed.

Virginia — Released
Virginia released the results of their bar examination, with an overall pass rate of 53.19%.
Washington — Released
The Washington State Bar Association announced that 205 candidates passed out of the 355 that sat the Uniform Bar Exam with an overall pass rate of 57.7%.
