If you’re a student that’s going to law school right now or you recently graduated and you’re putting in the hours as a first year associate at a big law firm, then you need to be thinking about how you can better leverage your time. Amazon offers many perks for college students which can make maximizing your time to study a whole lot easier! One of the services that Amazon offers is Amazon Prime and if you don’t already have an account you should definitely sign up for one here! If you don’t have a .edu account, you can still get a free 30-day trial here: Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial
Note, if you’re a student and you sign up with Amazon Prime you get a 6 month trial which includes free 2-day shipping, unlimited streaming of 1000’s of movies and tv shows, access to exclusive deals and discounts and much more for. If you decide to keep it after the trial, you can sign up for only about $45/year (normally $99/year, but you receive a 50% discount).
If you live in certain areas you can also shop their Amazon Prime Now app and receive your order within about 2 or 3 hours!
Here’s how you can use Amazon Prime Now:
Amazon Prime Now is part of the Prime membership, but only available in certain areas (check your availability here). Amazon will offer certain items that are currently housed in their warehouse on an expedited basis. You can login through your phone using the Amazon Prime Now App to see what is available. They then have runners throughout the day making deliveries (minimum order is $25). Here’s an example of how it can help you save time.
You’re at the library studying because midterms/finals are just around the corner but you also want to go home and cook (now this involves actually going to the grocery store with a shopping list) but you don’t have the time to do this. You need to decide whether you’re going to eat fast food at a local restaurant or spending precious study time going grocery shopping. Wait, you have another option! By levering Amazon Prime all you have to do is; login to your account, search for the items you need and order (can be done from your phone). Now you can devote more time to study while your groceries make their way to your front door. It’s incredibly convenient, my wife and I did this when I was in law school pretty much on a weekly basis, if not more.
Compare this as to if you were to going to go to the store. You would probably need to create your list (download any coupons) take an hour to drive to the store, walk up and down the aisles (hope it’s not crowded) pick up all of your food then drive home and unpack. With Amazon Prime Now you can just do the following:
- Log into the app,
- Pick the store you want to order from (Amazon.com/Sprouts/Bristol Farms)
- Pick out your items
- Have it delivered to your door within about 2-3 hours tops (they deliver up through Midnight if you order by 9:00pm)
So use your .edu email address to sign up and receive 6 months free. It’s probably one of the best time savers you can have! We’ve been using it for over 5-years!
Disclaimer we will receive a small commission if you sign up but at no additional cost to you. It’s free to try, so if you don’t like it, you can cancel before you get charged.
